Life Coaching vs. Therapy vs. Consulting/Mentoring
-
Coaching: Present/future-focused, action-oriented, goal achievement. Coaching empowers clients to find their own answers through self-discovery.
-
Therapy: Past-focused, healing trauma, treating mental illness.
-
Consulting/Mentoring: Consulting provides expert solutions for specific problems (gives answers); mentoring offers guidance from experience (shares wisdom)
-
Cost: Varies; Introductory Call is Free. Single session options are $200 / session, If the 3-month coaching program is purchased then the cost is reduced to $150 / session. I often get asked, why a reduced rate for something that is going to take more effort and commitment on my end. I do this in the best interest of the client. This timeframe gives us the space to build a strong foundation, create meaningful shifts, and set you up for lasting results.
-
Duration: Depends on the goals; some finish in a few months, others take 6-18 months or longer.
Why Hire a Life Coach?
We’ve been conditioned to believe that success, fulfillment, and happiness come only through relentless hard work—and doing it all on our own. That to have more, we must give something up. Too often, that sacrifice becomes our health, our time, our joy, or the relationships that matter most.
A meaningful, successful life doesn’t require sacrifice—it requires alignment. You truly can have it all, just not all at once. With the right guidance, you don’t lose what matters; you gain clarity, focus, and momentum.
Life coaching isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about working smarter, with intention.
The world’s highest performers already understand this. Athletes, CEOs, executives, and world leaders don’t rely on willpower alone. They surround themselves with trained professionals who provide direction, objective insight, and accountability. Excellence is rarely achieved in isolation.
So the real question isn’t why hire a life coach.
It’s why wouldn’t you give yourself the same advantage in your own life.
